Description: - A Victorian sterling silver fancy link Albert watch chain, and later sterling silver Georgian style foliate engraved carnelian agate fob.
Year: - 1893, 1894, & 1977.
Engraving: - Unengraved.
Measurement: - The albert chain measures approximately 13 15/16 inches (35.3cm) in length end to end. The links measure 8.5mm in width (at widest point). The fob measures 1 1/4 inches (3.2cm) height. Combined length 15 1/16 inches (38.2cm).
Weight: - 56.7 grams (combined).
Condition: - The sterling silver Albert chain is in good antique condition - light tarnishing. Each chain link is hallmarked with the lion passant. The dog clip closes securely. The chain, and dog-clip are hallmarked with the date letter 't' to denote 1893. The makers mark 'MD' is stamped to the chain, T-bar, and dog clip (partially rubbed). The T-bar is hallmarked with the date letter 'u' for 1894. The silver fob is hallmarked with the makers mark 'HBJ', and London marks, 1977. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
