Description: - A Victorian sterling silver trombone link albert watch chain, and T-bar. 

Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).

Period: - Late 19th century.

Date: - 1887 - 1889.

Maker: - N C Reading & Co.

Engraving: - None.

Measurement: - 16 7/16 inches (41.8 cm) end to end. The links measure 30.1mm (length) x 8mm (width).

Weight: - 60.8 grams.

Condition: - The albert chain is in good condition. The dog clips, and T-bar are stamped with the makers mark 'N.C.R.CO' for N C Reading & Co. The dog clips, and one of the chain links are stamped with the Birmingham assay date letter 'P' for 1889.  The T-bar is stamped with the date letter 'n' to denote 1887. The chain is stamped with the lion rampant (traditional silver fineness mark) to the links, dog clips, and T-bar. The links display minor surface scratches, and wear commensurate with age.
