Description: - A William IV 18ct yellow gold and black enamel memorial mourning ring.

The band reads 'IN MEMORY OF' within gold foliate border, and is inscribed to the interior 'Owen Rees, Esq Ob 5 Sep 1837, Aet 67.'.

The ring is hallmarked with London marks, 1837, the makers mark 'WK', and '18' to denote 18 carat gold.

Period: - Early 19th Century.

Date: - 1837.

Engraving: - 'Owen Rees, Esq Ob 5 Sep 1837, Aet 67.'.

Measurement: - UK ring size O (leading edge). US ring size 7 1/2 (leading edge). The band measures 8.0mm in width. 

Weight: - 6.1 grams.

Condition: - The band and the enamel on the ring are both in good condition, displaying minor surface scratches commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
