Description: - A Victorian sterling silver-gilt cream jug. The cream jug is of oval form, with engraved foliate decoration, beaded scroll handle and borders, sitting on a raised oval foot.

The jug is hallmarked with the makers mark of Stephen Smith, London, and the date letter 'B' for 1877.

Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).

Period: - Late 19th century.

Date: - 1877.

Maker: - Stephen Smith.

Engraving: - Engraved with initials to the cartouche. The initials are possibly "C", "A", & "T" (in no particular order).

Measurement: - 14.8cm (height) x 12.2cm (width) x 5.9cm (depth). 

Weight: - 173.1 grams.

Condition: - The cream jug is in good condition. Light surface scratches, and marks commensurate with age. There are no splits, damage, or repairs. Slight rubbing to the gilt wash. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
