Description: - A Victorian 22 carat yellow gold and black enamel memorial ring.
The ring is hallmarked with Birmingham marks, 1896, the makers mark "W.M", and crown symbol together with "22" to denote 22 carat gold.
Period: - Late 19th Century.
Date: - 1896.
Engraving: - The band reads "In Memoriam", and is inscribed to the interior with the name of the person being mourned: - "Eliyth Eleanor (Kilburn) Mulholland"; & "B.31.1.72. M.7.10.96. D.23.6.97." to denote her date of birth, date of marriage, and deceased date.".
Measurement: - UK ring size P 1/2 (leading edge). US ring size 8 (leading edge). The band measures approximately 6.8mm in width.
Weight: - 7.0 grams.
Condition: - The band and the enamel on the ring are both in good condition, displaying minor surface scratches, and nicks commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
