Description: - A George III sterling silver salver. The salver is of circular form, beaded borders, with a band of chased foliate decoration, the centre with an armorial within foliate mantling, on three fluted bracket feet.
The hallmarks are located to the reverse with the makers mark of 'W·B' William Bennett, London marks, and date letter 'T' for 1814.
Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).
Period: - 1814.
Engraving: - Foliate scroll decoration surrounding the crest of Player.
Maker: - William Bennett.
Measurement: - 28.2cm (diameter) x 3.9cm (height).
Weight: - 921.9 grams.
Condition: - The salver is in good antique condition. Light surface scratches and marks associated with a piece of this age. There are no dents, splits, or repairs to the salver. The engraving, and hallmarks are crisp. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
