Description: - A pair of Art Nouveau sterling silver salt cellars and spoons, by Liberty & Co, 1900. The salt cellars are of circular tapering form, with embossed decoration, on four legs, with spoons. They are stored in their original case, the inside of the hinged cover written on silk 'LIBERTY & Co LTD REGENT ST LONDON'.
Assay: - Hallmarked with Birmingham assay marks, date letter 'a' to denote 1900, and makers mark 'L&Co'.
Period: - Early 20th century.
Date: - 1900.
Engraving: - None.
Maker: - Liberty & Co Ltd.
Measurement: - The salt cellars measure approximately 4.8cm (diameter) x 3.6cm (height).
Weight: - 81.9 grams.
Condition: - The salt cellars are in good condition. Light surface scratches from general wear. The spoon stems are a little misshapen. The case is in fair condition, minor staining to the interior. The supports for the spoons to rest on within the case appear to have been previously removed. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
