Description: - An Elizabeth II Parcel-Gilt Silver Goblet, by Hector Miller for Aurum, London, 1972. This goblet is number 32 from a limited edition of 500. The goblet is of tapering cylindrical form, the upper body having a plain hammered finish, and the lower body is chased with figures representing the crafts required for the restoration of York Minster.
The goblet is engraved to the base:
'NUMBER 32 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 500 MADE BY ORDER OF THE DEAN AND CHAPTER OF YORK TO COMMEMORATE THE 500TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE COMPLETION OF THE GOTHIC MINSTER AND THE END OF THE FIVE YEARS OF WORK OF RESTORATION IN 1972'.
