Description: - A Victorian sterling silver fancy link Albert watch chain, and later fob.
Period: - Late 19th century.
Year: - 1893, & 1906.
Engraving: - Unengraved.
Measurement: - The albert chain measures approximately 14 13/16 inches (37.7cm) in length end to end. The links measure 6.0mm in width. The fob measures 1 5/16 inches (3.4cm) height. Combined length 16 1/16 inches (40.8cm).
Weight: - 47.1 grams (combined).
Condition: - The sterling silver Albert chain is in good antique condition - light tarnishing. Each chain link is hallmarked with the lion passant. The dog clip closes securely. One of the chain links, and dog-clip are hallmarked with the date letter 't' to denote 1893. The makers mark 'W.G.M' for Walter & George Myers is stamped to the T-bar, and dog clip. The fob is hallmarked with the makers mark 'W.A' for William Adams Ltd, and Birmingham marks, 1906. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
