Description: - A set of three William IV Scottish toddy (or sauce) ladles by the Glasgow silversmith Peter Aitken I. The toddy ladles are of fiddle pattern with simple oval bowls.
Date: - 1837.
Period: - Mid 19th Century.
Engraving: - The terminals are engraved with a crest, and the initial 'A' engraved underneath the crest.
Maker: - Peter Aitken .
Measurement: - 16.8cm (length) x 4.3cm (at their widest points).
Weight: - 129.0 grams.
Condition: - The silver ladles are in good antique condition. Surface scratches , and minor marks to the bowls and handles commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
