Description: - A George III 18ct yellow gold and black enamel memorial mourning ring. The band reads "MARY.BRISCOE.OB:7 DEC:1809.AE:79" within a yellow gold and enamel border. The ring is hallmarked with London marks, 1809, the makers mark "SG", and "18" to denote 18 karat (carat) gold.
Date: - 1809.
Period: - Early 19th Century.

Measurement: - UK ring size Q 1/4 measured to the leading edge. US ring size 8 1/4 measured to the leading edge. The band measures 8.0mm in width. The ring measures approximately 21.0mm in diameter.
Weight: - 6.9 grams.
Condition: - The band and the enamel on the antique gold ring are both in good condition, displaying minor surface scratches commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
