Description: - A George III 22ct yellow gold black enamel memorial mourning ring. The ring bears the inscription "GEORGE.BRISCOE.OB:16.SEP:1806.AE:44", between two black enamel bands. The ring is hallmarked with the duty mark, lion passant used during Georgian era to denote 22 karat (carat) gold, and date letter 'L' for 1806.

Date: - 1806.

Period: - Early 19th Century.

Measurement: - UK ring size Q 3/4. US ring size 8 1/2. The band measures 9.0mm in width. The ring diameter is approximately 19.5mm.

Weight: - 5.9 grams.

Condition: - The ring displays minor surface scratches, and a few chips to the enamel commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
