Description: - An antique George III 22ct yellow gold black enamel memorial mourning ring. The ring bears the inscription "In Memory Of", between two black enamel bands. The inner shank is inscribed "Marianne Maria Goddard, died 25 Dec, 1813 aged 77". The ring is hallmarked with the duty mark, lion passant used during Georgian era to denote 22 karat (carat) gold, and date letter 'S' for 1813.
