Description: - A George III diamond and enamel navette-shaped sentimental pendant, circa 1790.

The pendant has been executed in the French manner, having an old cut diamond border, leading to a purple guilloche enameled ground, with a pear shaped old-cut diamond to the centre, and a rose cut diamond set bow and garland surround.

The pendant is fronted in silver, and backed in 9 karat gold with an engraved border.

Period: - Late 18th Century.

Date: - Circa 1790s.

Engraving: - None.

Measurement: - 3.9 cm (height including bale loop) x 1.6 cm (width).

Weight: - 6.0 grams.

Condition: - Light surface scratches and tarnishing to the silver and gold commensurate with age. A couple of minor nicks to the enamel when viewed under magnification. The diamonds are bright and display light wear. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
