Description: - A George III 22ct yellow gold black and white enamel memorial mourning ring. The ring bears the inscription 'JONATṈ GODWIN·OB:21·JULY·1795·AE:80.' to the exterior of the band.

The ring is hallmarked with the duty mark, lion passant used during Georgian era to denote 22 carat gold, and date letter 'u' for 1795.

Period: - Late 18th century.

Date: - 1795.

Maker: - 'HB'.

Engraving: - None.

Measurement: - UK ring size V 1/2 (leading edge). US ring size 10 3/4 (leading edge). The band measures 6.0mm in width. 

Weight: - 4.4 grams.
