Description: - A Victorian 18ct yellow gold and 0.30ct diamond buckle ring. The ring is fully hallmarked, with Chester assay office marks, stamped '18' to denote 18 karat (carat) gold, and date stamp 'A' for 1884.
Date: - 1884.
Period: - Late 19th Century.
Engraving: - The gold band is engraved to the inside with 'E.A.P. to T.P 14.9.87'
Measurement: - The ring is a UK Size S 3/4, measured to the leading edge. US Size 9 1/2, measured to the leading edge. The band measures approximately 7mm in width.
Weight: - 6.5 grams / 0.21 troy ounces.
Condition: - Minor surface scratches and light wear to the shank commensurate with age. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
