Description: - A Victorian silver fronted, gold backed, sapphire, and diamond crescent brooch. As was common for the period, the brooch is unhallmarked, and has been tested to be silver fronted, and backed in 9ct gold.
Period: - Late 19th Century.
Date: - Circa 1890
Measurement: - The brooch measure 6.2 cm from end to end.
Weight: - 7.5 grams / 0.24 troy ounces.
Condition: - There are light surface scratches to the brooch commensurate with age. The diamonds and sapphires are in good condition. The pin and c-clasp work as expected. The modern replacement safety chain is base metal. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
