Description: - A 9 carat yellow gold "Pug" dog brooch. The brooch, with attached safety chain, is crafted in the form of Pug with red spinel cabochon eyes, and head turned facing forward.
The brooch is hallmarked with the makers mark "A&W" for Alabaster and Wilson, Birmingham assay marks, 1988, and Common Control Mark.
Period: - Late 20th Century.
Date: - 1988.

Measurement: - 4.1cm (length) x 4.0cm (height) x 1.0cm (depth).
Weight: - 20.5 grams.
Condition: - The brooch is in good vintage condition. The pin, and clasp both work perfectly. The spinel eyes have not been able to be confirmed to be natural or synthetic in origin due to the closed back setting they are within.
