Description: - A Victorian 18ct yellow gold foliate engraved ring. The ring is crafted in the form of a belt with end tip secured through its strap.
Hallmarked with Chester marks, date letter 'D' to denote 1887, and '18' for 18 carat gold.
Assay: - .750 Gold (18ct).
Period: - Late 19th Century.
Date: - 1887.
Measurement: - UK ring size N 1/2 (leading edge). US ring size 7 (leading edge). The band is 7.5mm wide.
Weight: - 5.6 grams.
Condition: - The ring is in good antique condition. Light surface scratches commensurate with age. A minor imperfection to a small section of the engraving (that probably the maker in hindsight could have made a little crisper), at the point where one side of the belt is beginning to overlay over the other end.
