Description: - An American silver rectangular toast rack, by J.C. Moore & Son for Tiffany & Co. The toast rack is crafted with an anthemion finial to the scroll handle, the seven dividers with arch tops and scroll bases, on a beaded and Greek key base with four shell and paw feet.
The toast rack is stamped '926', 'M', '6530' to one side. And to the other side it is stamped 'TIFFANY & Co Sterling'.
Period: - Mid 19th century.
Date: - 1850s.
Engraving: - Engraved to the handle with a set of initials.
Maker: - Tiffany & Co.
Measurement: - 21.0cm (height) x 16.0cm (width) x 10.2cm (depth).
Weight: - 391 grams.
Condition: - The toast rack is in good condition. Minor surface marks, and scratches commensurate with age. The makers marks are slightly rubbed. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
