Description: - A Victorian sterling silver inkwell & inkstand. The inkstand is of circular form with a beaded border, and a central pierced scroll gallery. The gallery holds a silver-mounted glass inkwell with a domed hinged cover, and beaded border. The hinge, is in good working order. The lid and stand have the makers mark A.C.T.P. (Andrew Crespel and Thomas Parker), Lion Passant (Sterling Silver Mark), Leopards head (London Assay Office), and date letter 't' to signify 1874.

Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).

Date: - 1874.

Period: - 19th Century.

Engraving: - Unengraved.

Maker: - Andrew Crespel and Thomas Parker.

Measurement: - The inkwell measures 10.6cm in height x 7.8cm diameter. The stand measures 25.7cm in diameter. (1 inch = 25.4mm)

Weight: - Combined weight 1008.8 grams / 32.41 troy ounces. The stand weights 506.6 grams / 16.29 troy ounces. The inkwell weights 502.2 grams / 16.15 troy ounces.

Condition: - Both in good antique condition.  The hinged lid is in working condition. There are no splits, damage, repairs, dents to either piece.  Some minor pin-prick dings, and surface scratches commensurate with age.  Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
