Description: - An Edwardian silver fronted and gold backed diamond & baroque pearl pendant necklace, circa 1900. The pendant is set with graduated old-cut diamonds, and baroque pearls, on a fine link gold neck chain, and roll pin clasp. As was common for the period the pendant & chain are unhallmarked, has been tested, and confirmed to be 14 carat gold minimum fineness, and silver fronted.

Period: - Late 19th - Early 20th Century.

Measurement: - The necklace measures approximately 16 1/2 inches (42.1cm)when worn. The pendant measures 4.1cm x 2.1cm.

Weight: - 8.6 grams / 0.28 troy oz

Condition: - The pendant necklace is in good antique condition. The diamonds are in good condition. The pearls have good lustre, and are well matched in terms of colour. The chain, and clasp, which closes securely is a more modern replacement. A chain link next to the clasp has been closed using soft solder, which can be replaced easily if desired. Very minor surface wear commensurate with age and usage. Minor tarnishing/patina present to pendant. The chain is connected to the pendant by way of a removable screw-on pin. Please note the pearls are untested and unwarranted for natural pearls. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
