Description: - An 18ct yellow gold apple green jade ring by Bernard Instone. The ring is set with a rectangular curved jade plaque, rub set to a collet with hand engraved scroll and leaf bands, and a flat section shank with engraved straps to the shoulders. The gold ring for sale is fully hallmarked being stamped 18 (for 18 carat gold), with the Birmingham assay office mark, and date letter 'J' to denote 1958. 

Bernard Instone (1891—1987) is a highly regarded and very collectable jeweller, designer and silversmith who had an instantly recognisable style, often incorporating detailed hand-tooled foliage and scrolls into his pieces.

Date: - 1958.

Period: - 20th Century.

Measurement: - The ring is a UK size S and US size 91/8.  The jade measures 25mm x 14mm.

Weight: - 10.30 grams / 0.33 ounces.

Condition: - The ring is in good used condition. Some minor surface scratches and marks to the gold setting commensurate with age.  Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
