Description: - A Victorian sterling silver engraved mug. The mug is of tapering circular form, profusely engraved with foliate scrolls, masks, and roundels, hollow scroll handle, gilt interior, circular cartouche to the front with monogram, with presentation inscription to the cartouche behind the handle.

Hallmarked with Birmingham marks, 1892, and the makers mark of Hilliard & Thomason.

Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).

Period: - Late 19th Century.

Date: - 1892.

Maker: - Hilliard & Thomason.

Engraving: - Engraved to the cartouche to the front 'KHB'. Engraved behind the handle with 'Kenneth Holme Barnett from his Uncle Thob G. Barnett Jun. 26th 1892'. 

Measurement: - Approximately 8.7cm (height) x 9.9cm (width to include handle) x 7.2cm (foot diameter). The mug can hold approximately 250ml - to the brim.

Weight: - 192.5 grams.

Condition: - The mug is in good condition, with light surface scratches, marks, and pitting commensurate with age. The gilt wash to the interior is rubbed. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
