Description: - An early George III sterling silver mug by John Robinson II, London, 1766. The mug is of baluster form with a spreading foot and a leaf-capped scroll handle, and engraved with a family crest. The mug is hallmarked with the makers mark JR (John Robinson II), London assay mark, and date letter 'L' for 1766.  The mug can hold approximately 380ml.

Period: - 1766.

Engraving: - The mug is engraved with a family crest.

Maker: - John Robinson II.

Measurement: - The mug measures 10.6cm (height) x 11.1cm (length to include handle) x 7.7cm (foot diameter).

Weight: - 304.8 grams / 10.75 ounces.

Condition: - The mug is in good antique condition. Minor surface dings, scratches, marks, and pitting commensurate with age. There are no splits, or repairs to the mug. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
