Description: - A Parcel-Gilt Sterling Silver Goblet, by Hector Miller for Aurum, London, 1981. This goblet is number 377 from a limited edition of 700. The goblet is of tapering cylindrical form, the upper body having a plain hammered finish, and the lower body is chased with figures representing the Angle Choir, with Lincoln's legendary Imp also seen pulling at the robes of one of the choristers, leading to a seven-sided foot with pierced quatrefoil decoration.

The goblet is engraved to the base:

'NUMBER 377 OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 700 MADE BY ORDER OF THE DEAN AND CHAPTER TO COMMEMORATE THE SEVENTH CENTENARY IN 1980 OF THE COMPLETION OF LINCOLN CATHEDRAL', & 'AURUM'.

Date: - 1981.

Measurement: - 16.4cm (height) x 7.4cm (diameter).

Weight: - 311.2 grams.

Condition: - The silver parcel-gilt goblet is in good condition. Surface scratches, nicks to the edges, and tarnishing commensurate with age. Light rubbing in places to the parcel-gilt finish. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
