Description: - A Scottish Georgian period 9ct rose gold crested intaglio agate oval signet ring circa 1810-1820. The agate intaglio depicts a boar atop a shield, Lion Rampant and a open hand within, completed below with the latin motto 'VICTORIA VEL MORS', which translates as 'Victory or Death'. As was common for the period the ring is unhallmarked, and has been tested and confirmed to be 9 karat (carat) fineness.

Period: - Early 19th Century.

Date: - Circa 1810-1820.

Engraving: - Engraved with a crest intaglio and the latin 'VICTORIA VEL MORS', which translates as 'Victory or Death'.

Measurement: - The ring is a UK Size R 1/2 - R 3/4. US Size 8 7/8 - 9. The face of the ring measures 33mm x 23mm. 

Weight: - 13.1 grams / 0.42 troy ounces.

Condition: - Light surface scratches, and minor surface marks commensurate with age. The agate is in good condition.
