Description: - An antique Victorian yellow gold pendant enamelled in blue and white, set with fine diamonds, and creamy white pearls. The pendant is set with a central diamond of 0.10cts, surrounded by 9 seed pearls, with a further 2 pearls towards the top and bottom of the pendant, 2 diamonds in foliate settings, and terminating with a single pearl on a drop. As was common for the period the pendant is unhallmarked, has been tested, and confirmed to be 15 carat gold minimum fineness.

Period: - Late 19th Century.

Engraving: - None.

Measurement: - The pendant measures 4.5cm (height) x 2.1cm (length) x 0.5cm (depth).

Weight: - 4.5grams / 0.14 troy oz.

Condition: - The pendant is in good antique condition. The diamonds are in good overall condition. One of the smaller diamonds to the side has a small nick to the stone. The pearls have good lustre, and are well matched in terms of colour. The bale used for holding on to a chain has been soldered shut (most likely to prevent the pendant from slipping off a chain from time to time). The closing of the bale is for safety purposes and does not prevent a chain from being fitted through the bale. The enamel is in very good condition for its age, displaying very little wear. The case is a little worn around the edges, and closely securely. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.

Item No: - 1001.
