Description: - An Art Deco period 14ct gold opal cabochon and diamond pendant. The pendant is set with a centrally set oval opal cabochon within a rhodium plated gold scroll mount, suspended from a diamond set bale. The diamonds have good cut/sparkle to the stones. The opal has a lovely fire to the gemstone. As was common for the period, the pendant is unhallmarked, and has been tested and confirmed to be 14ct gold minimum fineness.

Period: - Early 20th Century.

Date: - Circa 1930.

Measurement: - The pendant measure 3.6cm (height) x 2.1cm (length). The opal measures 2.4cm (height) x 1.5cm (length).

Weight: - 4.4 grams / 0.14 troy ounces.

Condition: - The pendant is in good condition. The diamonds to the bale have good clarity. The opal has good fire, displaying green, blue, and pink flashes. The pendant has been rhodium plated and displays like wear commensurate with age. Light tarnishing and patina to the pendant. The pin and clasp work perfectly. Gemstone treatment is unknown.
