Description: - A George V 18 carat yellow gold portrait locket signet ring. The ring has an oval panel to the front engraved with The King's Royal Rifle Corps emblem, which hinges open to reveal a portrait of a gentleman in military uniform; leading to plain shoulders and shank. 

Assay: - .750 Gold (18 carat).

Period: - Early 20th Century.

Date: - 1916.

Maker: - Deakin & Francis Ltd.

Engraving: - The engraving to the outer hinged panel is that of The King's Royal Rifle Corps emblem.

Measurement: - UK ring size P (leading edge). US ring size 7 3/4 (leading edge). The face of the ring measures 13.0mm (height) x 9.0mm (width).

Weight: - 4.4 grams.

Condition: - The ring displays minor surface scratches to the panel commensurate with age. The hinged panel operates well, and closes fairly securely. The portrait is in good overall condition, displaying only slight fading in parts. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
