Description: - A Victorian 18ct yellow gold carnelian signet ring. The signet ring is set with an oval carnelian, leading to a reeded shank.
The ring is hallmarked with London assay office marks, the date letter "b" to denote 1897, and stamped "18" for 18 carat gold.
Period: - Late 19th century.

Maker: - Makers mark of "AJA.JHW".
Engraving: - Engraved to the inside of the ring with the inscription "A.E. Gleig . 1906.".
Measurement: - UK ring size Q (leading edge). US ring size 8 1/4 (leading edge). The carnelian measures 12.0mm (height) x 9.2mm (width).
Weight: - 8.4 grams.
Condition: - The ring is in good antique condition. Minor scratches, nicks, pitting, and abrasion commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
