Description: - An antique sterling silver graduating curb link double albert watch chain and shield shaped fob.
Assay: - .925 (Sterling silver).
Period: - Early 20th century.
Maker: - William Walter Cashmore to the chain; and D.&.S. to the fob.
Engraving: - None.
Measurement: - 14 inches (35.5cm) in length end to end. The links measure 8.0mm at their widest point. The fob measures 4.0cm x 2.5cm.
Weight: - 54.1 grams (combined).
Condition: - The sterling silver albert chain is in good antique condition with light tarnishing. The dog-clips, T-bar, each chain link, and fob are stamped with the lion passant to denote sterling silver. One of the chain links, both dog-clips, and T-bar are stamped with the makers mark 'W.W.C'. The T-Bar and both dog-clips are stamped with the date letter 'S' to denote Birmingham, 1917. The fob is hallmarked with the makers mark 'D.&.S', Birmingham, 1907.
