Description: - An Edwardian sterling silver-gilt cup, by the makers George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester, 1904. The cup is a replica of what is commonly referred to as "The Tudor (Holms) Cup". The standing cup has a font shaped bowl, chased with scale panels, below a latin inscription, on a reeded and beaded pedestal foot. The latin inscription reads "BENEDICTUS DEUS IM DONA SUIS AME" in Lombardic lettering, which loosely translates as "Blessed be God for his gifts. Amen.", which was commonly used as a grace.

Weight: - 331.8 grams.

Condition: - The cup is in good condition. Light surface scratches commensurate with age. The cup has no engravings. The gilt finish is fairly rubbed in places. No splits, damage, or repairs. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
