Description: - An Arts and Crafts sterling silver ewer. The planished ewer is of circular form, having a hinged cover with disc finial and scroll thumb-piece. The body of the jug has a central girdle and card-cut decoration in relief, with scroll handle, and raised on a circular foot.

The ewer is stamped with Sheffield hallmarks, 1923, and the makers mark of Johnson, Walker & Tolhurst.

Assay: - .925 (Sterling Silver).

Date: - 1923.

Period: - Early 20th century.

Engraving: - Unengraved.

Measurement: - 13.6 cm (height) x 10.2 cm (length between handle and spout) x 7.5cm (body width).

Weight: - 297.4 grams.

Condition: - The silver ewer is in good condition. Light surface scratches and marks commensurate with age. There are no splits, or repairs, or dents. Minor rubbing to the hallmarks. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
