Description: - A mid 19th century diamond and pearl oak pendant. The pendant is designed as a wreath of oak leaves, and a suspended central foliate drop. It is set with old cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds and seed pearls, in silver on gold, leading to a diamond-set bale.

As was common for the period the pendant is unhallmarked, and has been tested to be 15 carat gold, and silver fronted.

Period: - Mid 19th Century.

Date: - Circa 1860.

Engraving: - None.

Measurement: - 3.5 cm (height including bale) x 3.6 cm (width) x 0.7 cm (depth). 

Weight: - 7.8 grams.

Condition: - The mixed cut diamonds have a lovely sparkle. The pearls have a beautiful lustre, and are well matched in terms of colour. Light surface wear, and tarnishing to the precious metals; and minor nicks to the diamonds commensurate with age. Please note the pearls are untested and unwarranted for natural pearls. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
